A written record of the church in this village is as a stone church was preserved in the 1720s. The middle section of the church was rebuilt in 1769-70, the western section was built in 1803, the east section and the tower were completed in 1810. The baroque-style church's painted wooden coffered ceilings are the second largest of its kind in the country. It was made in 1805 by Antal Rezbár Szügényi, a carving master of Várkonyi.
