The Millennium Lookout, which was made for the event of Saint Stephen’s Day on the 20th August, 2000 rules the surrounding peaks with its height and uniquely beautiful wooden structure, almost as if it would be watching over and protecting this picturesque land. The sight of the Bükk Mountain provides a spectacular view from the 20 meters high terrace of the lookout with its seasonally changing colorful picture of the terrain, the streams, the valley, the forests and the rooftops of the 13 mountain villages. In clear, sunny weather even the peaks of the Tatra Mountain are visible in the distance. The lookout can be reached by foot following the Millennium Trail or by car from the road going towards the Bükk Plateau, with an only two hundred meters long walk from the parking lot of the Kalapat (Millennium) Lookout.
